Augt 17th, 1839 Session met and opened with prayer present Revd. Dr. Edgar & Wm. A. Shaw, Jno McKeage, John Nichols & Mr. Patton Elders ---- Col Geo Patterson on examination was admitted into the Presbyterian Church of Clarksville. Closed with prayer. Wm. A. Shaw Mod. John Nichols & Mr. Patton Elders were present by invitation. Augt 18th, 1839 Session met at 9 o’clock A.M. present as yesterday, opened with prayer. Dr. Alix Rogers presented himself before session and giving satisfactory evidence of change of heart was received into membership and he and Col Geo. Patterson were publicly this day admitted into the church. (Sacrament was administered this day). Session closed with prayer. Wm. A. Shaw Mod


Sabbath afternoon 18 Augt 1839 The following parents presented their children to the Lord in baptism Mr. & Mrs. McKeage their infant Eddie Gilmer, Mrs. Mitchell her two sons Charles & Pleasant, Mrs. Dr. C. R. Cooper her infant Chas Richard Craighead and Margant Cromwell her daughter Mary Tabitha which children were all baptized by minister of the Clarksville Presbyterian Church. Wm. A. Shaw Clk Augt 25th, 1839 In company with the Revd. Wm. D. Jones, two days sacramental meeting received seven persons to our communion at Mt. Olivit and baptized them. The above seven persons belong to Mt. Olivit Kentucky. Wm. A. Shaw No. of admissions since last report to Genl. Assembly 16. No. of baptisms 6 adults and 15 infants. Nov. 4th, 1839
