William Henry and Catharin Pearce sons & daughter of Mrs. Edward Simpson. Revd. R. Lapsly administered baptism. Concluded with prayer. Jno McKeage Clk Apl 22, 1839 Session met and was constituted by prayer present Revd. Wm. A. Shaw minister & Jno McKeage Elder. The case of Mr. Wells Fowler came before session and it appearing to the satisfaction of the session that Mr. Fowler would not attend having resisted two regular citations. It was decided that he should be suspended from the communion of the church from this date on. The double ground of habitual drunkenness & continued coutumacy as provided for in our book of discipline Chap 4 Section 12 and 13 page 397 and that these proceedings be published from the pulpit. ------ Wm. Miss Eliza Beach appeared before session and professing faith in Christ was received into full membership in this church. Wm. A. Shaw Mod. June 16th, 1839 Session met and constituted with prayer present Revd. Wm. A. Shaw & Elder Jno McKeage. Patterson Fletcher was received on certificate from the church of Cooks Creek & Hinisonburgh, Virginia. Closed with prayer. Wm. A. Shaw Mod. July 7th, 1839 At the Washington Iron Works I baptized Robert Trabur, Auchud Holmes, Arne Elizabeth & George children of Col Geo & Mrs. Sarah Patterson.
